Your career growth doesn’t have to come at the expense of your personal life
You might actually find that having more balance between both actually makes you a better professional, more productive and more engaged in the work you’re doing.

I started to feel a huge shift in my career and lifestyle aspirations.
If you had asked me about my career goals at 23, I would’ve confidently said I wanted to climb the corporate ladder, believing that just three things would make me happy:
A senior title, a high salary and a big company name.
And on paper, it seemed like I was well on my way to making it happen.
I had a great education and my career journey was progressing in the “right” direction.
I worked for a top management consulting firm.
I lived a vibrant life in East London.
And I had a wonderful community of friends and neighbours to lean on.

It wasn’t until I entered my 30s that I started to reassess what truly mattered to me in my career.
I couldn’t shake the thought…
Am I really destined to work 12 hours a day, six days a week, commute endlessly, have just 24 days of holiday and only eat and sleep?
I didn’t think so.

So while all the professionals around me continued on the traditional career path, I decided to take a different route.
I transitioned into self-employment and working with top-tier companies, giving me both flexibility and financial stability.
I travelled and worked remotely from some epic locations including Costa Rica, Jordan, Serbia, Cape Verde and more.
And most importantly, I built a career that aligned with my vision of work-life integration.
While stepping away from the “traditional” path felt risky, it was equally liberating to take ownership of my career on my own terms.
Because self-employment and remote work haven’t just given me a job.
They’ve given me the ability to lead my own life.

There are companies, teams and opportunities that align with exactly what you’re looking for.
